From start to finish, our experience with Stratos was totally professional, made very simple and the ultimate in how charter travel should be booked/enjoyed! We know it takes an entire team behind the scenes but all credit to Joel for his 'personal' touch and for making our return trip to New York a very memorable one indeed!!! We have used several charter companies worldwide over the years but Joel and his team beat them all!!!
Mr.  is extremely upset and disappointed with Stratos Jets as the plane had mechanical problems on take off which delayed the trip by 5 hours. It was his wife's birthday and the entire family had a full day of sightseeing arranged which had to be cancelled. The trip was very costly and he feels he is due back some compensation. Depuis le record de 2008 et les 1.306 unités vendues tous avionneurs confondus, le secteur traverse des turbulences. Selon la Gama (General Aviation Manufacturers Association), en 2015, les ventes mondiales de jets privés sont redescendues à 718 unités, générant tout de même un chiffre d’affaires d’environ 22 milliards de dollars. Et les avionneurs sont optimistes : la période de renouvellement des flottes approche, et elle sera même accélérée avec le lancement de nouveaux modèles.


Always enjoy flying privately. Exciting from planning a trip to booking to flight(s). Predominantly use Stratos. Attentive and personal service. Joel Thomas was a great go to person. All subcontractors that they use have been top-notched. Only critique is I obtained better final pricing of the flight when I received quotes from other charter companies. Seems to be an industry thing about competitive pricing in order to obtain the best price. Yes I would recommend Stratos.

WE were told to go to First Aviation Services terminal at Teterboro but our plane was at another terminal so we wasted over 45 minutes trying to find our aircraft and our agent was not at all helpful. In fact he told us someone was coming to pick us up and they never came and we had to find someone to help us get to the terminal our plane was located at. The agent asked us for our rental car info but when we landed in Naples the rental car was not at the terminal and we had to find a ride over to the other side of the air field to get our rental car. The flight was great but the handling of the pre and post flight were below normal and not what I am used to when I fly private.
Depending on who you believe 30-to-50% of all private jet flights are ferry flights. However, that doesn’t mean they are necessarily dirt cheap. Magellan Jets, which sells jet cards and on-demand charter also offers empty legs, and while you have to contact the company for pricing, it says rates start at $3,000 per hour. Airstream Jets enables visitors to its website to download a list of active empty legs and while most of the 13 listings were for the next two weeks, there were flights posted through mid-November, one an empty leg in September on a Gulfstream G-IVSP from New York to London for $49,900. Another broker quoted the same date and route at $92,000. Even more attractive was a G500 charter this weekend from Palermo, Italy to New York for $35,000. Quotes for a non-empty leg charter that I received from another broker for random dates in August started at $111,000.

A ce prix, le concept est naturellement séduisant, la question est de savoir de quelle manière tous ces abonnements et ces trajets seront cadrés. En effet, des start-ups se sont déjà cassé les dents avec le concept de location de jet privé par abonnement. On peut noter que Jet Smarter est aussi présent sur le segment de l’abonnement avec un prix annuel de 15 000 dollars $US la 1ère année puis 11 500 dollars $US les années suivantes.

Seulement, l’achat de ce jet privé fait un peu tache d’huile quand on sait que la vedette brésilienne a des soucis avec les impôts dans son pays pour des histoires de droit à l’image. Mais cela ne semble pas l’affecter, et il s’est fait plaisir avec son Cessna Citation 680 pouvant embarquer 12 personnes pour aller faire la fête de part le monde à près de 900 km/h.
